Geek's Guide To Dating, The (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
Cute for what it is but incredibly hetero-normative and mono-normative. I suppose expecting a fluffy book designed to encourage male geeks to put on a button down shirt talk about something other than World of Warcraft on a date to actually engage with homo, bi or pansexuality (or *gasp* non-monogamy!) is asking too much. But it would have been nice to see it at least mentioned. Also, one page saying "hey girl geeks, all this stuff applies to you too! Just switch the pronouns!" wasn't exactly inspiring. I'm going to leave this one unrated because I feel like giving it a one star (only because I just couldn't finish it) is really unfair. There were a lot of various geek references but it was just not what I was hoping to read. I was hoping it would be a story about someone's adventures through dating and, well, it's not. It is a genuine dating guide and that is perfectly fine if that is what you are looking for but I'm not.
What do You think about Geek's Guide To Dating, The (2014)?
Fun way to present some common sense (and not so common sense) dating advice.
