Girl Walks Into A Bar . . .: Comedy Calamities, Dating Disasters, And A Midlife Miracle (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
I listened to audiobook which was narrated by Rachel. I actually prefer to listen to autobiographies of comedians because they always add a tone that you don't ever read, which makes their punch line much funnier. I enjoyed listening to her story as she seems very relatable. She was very open without seeming whiny or dramatic. I didn't laugh as much as other comedies, but I was thoroughly entertained. Okay, I really really love SNL. Way more than a healthy human being should. Okay, all healthy human beings should love SNL as much as I do. I went to the Library to check out a copy and there was only one left. I picked it up and couldn't put it down. It was catchy and funny and honest and heartfelt. I really enjoyed learning more about one of the funniest women on the planet. And I know she will never read this silly little review, but I want her to know that I always thought she was the prettiest woman on SNL. Our family has always joked about the whole, "who would play us in a movie" and I always wanted her to be me. RACHEL YOU ARE AMAZING AND I LOVED YOUR BOOK! I am definitely running out and buying this one.
