This was a freebie on Amazon. I was a little confused about the genre of the book because the first chapter made it seem like a paranormal, even though that was the only section of the book that was written that way. This was a fast paced novella. Mikah is a millionaire who encounters this waitress and is drawn to her. He tries to take care of her: give her money, food, etc. She doesn't want to accept his help - on account that she just met him. This just didn't draw me in. No romance, just a lot of mystery. I wish this would be written as a novel instead of as a 3 part novella because something is just lost on me and I didn't quite enjoy it. ***Review Copy***A bit short but aside from a killer cliffhanger, you don't feel like you've missed anything. Too early in the series to tell if its a great book or not but I will be reading on. The leading lady is kind of a bitch but she has a reason to be. The leading man didn't get much face time in this book., I look forward to reading more about him.All in all I would read it again..
This is a must read book very different from most of the books I've read it will keep u on your toes
