Frank shouted into the phone. “Make him available, damn it!” Frank’s temper grew hotter when he didn’t get the response he wanted and slammed the phone down into its cradle. “They wouldn’t put mushrooms on your pizza again?” Nick’s sparkling personality was not what Frank needed right now. Frank snarled at Nick, not in the mood for his teasing. “I’ve called Gideon Wulfe’s house twenty times in the last three days, and every damn time I’m told that Seth is unavailable.” “Have you tried his cell number?” “It keeps going straight to voice mail, which is why I’ve been trying the house.” “So, maybe he’s unavailable,” Nick mused. “Even if he didn’t want to talk to me, he should at least come to the phone and tell me that.” Although, Frank ground his teeth at the idea that Seth didn’t want to talk to him. Granted, they hadn’t totally worked things out, but he had thought they were making progress after that sensual kiss and the bathroom incident.
