I loved this book--couldn't put it down, until it was finished, so I read it in two days, and then I didn't want it to end. I love the way Jackie Collins tells a tale about rich, exciting, strong women and this one does not disappoint. This book continues the story of Lucky Santangelo and her daughter, Max, who is just turning 18. The story evolves around the upcoming 18th birthday party at her mother's hotel, "The Keys" in Las Vegas. You don't have to have read the previous books, as Collins fills you in on the back stories on all the characters. When reading these books, I often try to imagine who the real life people are that she has incorporated into her stories. I'll be looking forward to her next book. Typically this type of book is not my forte. But Lucky Santangelo as a character fascincates me. a woman ahead of her time, all the crap she's handed, lucky comes back stronger. She passed her legacy down to her daughter max whom I liked watching grow up and become a headstrong woman desperate to make her own way. Likewise with the addition of her son bobby's smart and headstrong girlfriend denver. I liked how each character's story was entertwined to tell one big story. The action scenes were fast paced and the interpersonal relationships made the story for me.
What do You think about Goddess Of Vengeance (2011)?
First time reading Jackie Collins. Pretty good book. Definitely a page turner.
