What do You think about Gossip Girl, Psycho Killer (2011)?
Unless you are already a fan of Gossip Girl (either the TV show or the book series), this won't really be fun to read. Unlike other slasher versions of books, such as Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, von Ziegesar didn't just CTRL + F and replace aspects of the book with zombies and fighting. There's actually an expanded storyline that is very funny if you're a longtime reader or watcher of the Gossip Girl franchise. I understand why this has so many 1-star reviews, because if I didn't already see why Blair Waldorf stealing antique guns was plausible, I wouldn't find it funny! One of the things I've always loved about von Ziegesar is that she sees her books for what they are and isn't afraid to make fun of herself, her ridiculous descriptions, and her fairly insipid plotlines. Gossip Girl: Psycho Killer takes it to the next level, and for the initiated, it's a fun, frothy ride!

I haven't read any of the other Gossip Girl books, but I'm a huge fan of the show, so when I saw this book I knew I had to get it. The original series never interested me, but this book was just too funny. If you haven't read the books, I would recommend atleast knowing the TV show before reading it, otherwise it won't be as funny. Honestly, I got a little sick at times, the death scenes are pretty graphic, so don't read this if you have a weak stomach! But overall, if you like Gossip Girl, I think you'll like this redo. Especially around Halloween :)
