Gregor The Overlander Box Set (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
This review is for Gregor and the Code of Claw (book #5).The last book in the series was very action packed, but I get the same feeling I had when I finished the last book in the Hunger games series.......upset! I feel that Suzanne Collins is a wonderful writer and I really enjoy her books, but when I get to the end of the series I feel like she just stopped the end of the book fast with no regards to all the hard work she has put into her characters in all the other books. I can see that maybe she is trying to leave me wondering what will happen to Gregor in the end, bait and hook me so if she writed a number six I will read it (which I would), but when a book leaves me upset instead of excited, I have to wonder what happen? I bought these books for my 9-year old daughter but then I thought I should read them first considering that Suzanne Collins also wrote the Hunger Games series. I loved the Hunger Games and could not put them down but I feel they are somewhat violent for a 9 year old.I loved the Gregor the Overlander series and also could not put it down. It is appropriate for my daughter and for me. It was very enjoyable and I was quickly immersed into the Underland world. I would highly recommend.
