Guardianes De Las Puertas (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Wow, a lot is happening in these books in a little time. I don't know how they are doing it! The ending of this one really got me. The author gives us something and then takes it away. I think the reason this one wasn't rated a 4 is because literally nothing positive happens (besides what's taken away very quickly) and honestly I'm feeling a little down because of it. This is a high action book SERIES and I think a break is in order. I found this book very well done!I love the way the family supports each other, (despite Xander being angry at his dad for a time). The old creepy house is a very original part of the plot. I like how realistic the characters are, in they're emotions, as well as they're actions. None of the characters are 2d. Robert Liparulo, obviously put thought into his books. I did however, notice some miner grammar/spelling errors. Although it was very miner and hardly noticeable. I am on the lookout for more books by this amazing author and I do highly recommend his books to others.maturity level: 13+ for some graphic fight scenes and moderate violence that may not be suitable for young children.
