I listened to this while running xmas errands and finished it in a single day. KJ narrates it herself, in a highly entertaining manner. I never watched Third Rock and didn't know much about her, but I heard her on the Aiysha Tyler podcast and bought the memoir based on that. She's funny and real, and she went through an intensely self-destructive arc but lived to tell about it. Makes me want to see her act. I LOVED this book! Victor Borge said “Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” Kristen Johnston certainly found the shortest distance to my heart. She depicts the horror and helplessness of drug addiction with such humor and spirit, even when she is in the hospital ER, going into a surgery she may well not come out of alive. It is fast pacing, funny, entertaining - an odd combination for such a serious subject. Five stars from me for sure!
honest and straightforward...refreshing and highly readable...thank you for being real!
