Hare Moon (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

I appreciate seeing a bit into Tabitha's past and understanding why she's as cold-hearted as she was. The ending even makes sense, and explains why she's so rigid with rules later in life. But she doesn't seem fleshed out in the beginning, or her romance. People just have attraction, she doesn't mention why they attracted. Their shared hopes, dreams, interests that make people compatible. And it's only 50 pages. Very short. Tabitha can’t shake the feeling that something exists beyond the fences of her village. And when she sneaks out, past the gates and down the path into the Forest of Hands and Teeth, she meets a boy who teaches her heart things she never knew. But love in a world surrounded by so much death doesn’t come without its sacrifices, and Tabitha gradually realizes just how much she’ll have to give up to live among the Unconsecrated. From New York Times bestselling author Carrie Ryan comes an original story of love after the Return. My Review - interesting series for sure...Can't wait to read more about it all.

What do You think about Hare Moon (2000)?

Series prequel. Great, quick read. Answers questions left from first book. Brief sensuality.

didn't tell me what happened with Mary and it wasn't as good as the actual books...

Interesting little short story that fills out an intriguing back story.
