The book's name was The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The author is Nagaru Tanigawa. The genre was sci-fi. It was 208 pages long. I finished this book a couple days ago. Kyon is a high school student who meets a girl name Haruhi Suzumiya. But she is no ordinary girl. She's a humanoid alien. She decides to create the interest group, called SOS brigade. SOS stands for Save the world by Overloading it with fun haruhi Suzumiya brigade. She has created this to track down any aliens, espers, or time travelers. Kyon joins this interest group (which is in need for members...). I thought this book was pretty interesting. It made me want to read the second volume, which I will do. I started watching the anime because I liked the first book. It would be so freaky to figure out that one (or more) of your classmates are aliens/time travelers/espers. I probably wouldn't join the SOS brigade. This is because I'd be worried that the aliens would try to harm me, or becomke evil, even if they seemed nice. It was really confusing. There was lots of logical ,scientific thought about the earth and how the stuff works. Then something about the big boom. I mean i love science and i get a decent grade at it but this just blew my mind and that's what made me want to read it again and again until i understood it. well... i didn't understand it so i read the next book. I understand the book's genre now and its more understandable.
