Lily has been through hell and back, her mom and brother where killed in a tornado and left to fend for herself with her father. After the horrific tragedy Lily fell victim into her dad's abusive ways. She locks herself in her bedroom, only coming out when her dad is passed out drunk or not home. Lily is as strong as they come, she never complains, or asks for help and takes it day by day just waiting until she can leave the small town and her father behind.Dean has grown up with Lily and her brother, the three kids were inseparable. After the tornado hit their town after graduation, taking his best friend. Dean decided to up and leave and head to college. Eventually Dean comes back to his home town. He never once forgot about Lilly but has come back to take her back and to beg for her forgiveness knowing that they truly belong together.Without a doubt, this phenomenal, heart wrenching story of second chances. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, Sarah did a great job with character development and story line. I was sucked in from the first chapter and I couldn't put it down. Thank you Sarah Dosser for sharing this story of sweet Lily and Dean's phenomenal journey to find their love and HEA! Who knows without Grandma Violet what would have happened to Lily and Dean after all the tragedies that they both dealt with in their lives! Cheers to Lily for being a courageous young woman who was strong enough after all she'd been given in life to survive her abusive Father! Cheers to Dean to finally get his sh*t together to give in to his fears and accept Lily's love for him. Cheers to Adley and Derek for being there for Lily and Dean! Can't wait to read the next book!!!! Lastly thank you for sharing the abuse that many young people go through from the people that are supposed to love and care for them unconditionally. I'm hoping if they happen to read Lily's story they will see it is unacceptable and there is help out there for them.
