3.5 stars. Will and Mackenzie. My least favorite of this series. It didn't work as well for me as the other books. I think I found Mackenzie less interesting because she lives away from the city and therefore has no other interactions with the other members of the group. She is also psychic, and I don't really enjoy this type of paranormal twist in my otherwise straight up romance story. I did like Will, he was hot, and he and Mackenzie were hot together. I also really liked Holly in this one, she was fun as she posed as Will's new girl to make Mackenzie jealous. I've now read the entire series, and Will and Mackenzie never really come into play again, which makes this story seem like sort of an outlier. The ones that follow are better. In this book we meet Will, a Navy SEAL, who has been in love with his best friend for the past 15 years, Mackenzie. The problem is Mackenzie has him fully in the friend zone because she is afraid that if they step over that line and things don't work out, she will lose Will forever. In a moment of weakness, where they both are finally boyfriend/girlfriend free, Mackenzie gives in to Will for a one night of passion, but Will wants more. Mackenzie also has premonitions which has caused problems with all her past boyfriends. She foresees having sex with Will before it happens but afterwards they fight when Mackenzie says no to something more. Then the next vision appears and this one is so much more frightening; does Mackenzie tell Will she's seen his death or let it go since it can't be changed? And what happens when Will takes his friends' advice and borrows a "girlfriend" to take back home for the very first time to make Mackenzie jealous? Does Mackenzie fall for trick and if so, will she lose Will anyway as her vision predicts?
