This one really put me down. It gets one star because the head character is really annoying, and the ending to this suck, IMHO. I'm not going to continue reading this series, most of the time I try to finish series I start reading, but this one I just didn't like that much, and a lot of it is because the main character spends most of her time whining about a guy who at least tries hard to be with her, she offers nothing back and is so... I just don't like her, and because she annoys the heck out of me, I won't continue reading this... It's a shame really, because the world miss Aguirre has created is really intriguing, but I just can't stand Corinne, so I'll just stop reading. This is the second in the series, and I loved it as much as the first. Corine is back with her cool power of touching things, and being able to see where it's been. And her ex-boyfriend is back, and with his power of being 'lucky', it makes for some interesting adventures. Also, there were some reappearances of some of the great characters in the first one, which I always love when authors put some continuity in their work. They are on the road again, and this time they are back in the town where she grew up. I needed a read for the readathon that would be light, and interesting enough to keep me going until I was done. This had the perfect balance of fantasy, mystery and an eclectic cast of characters, this fit the bill perfectly. A must read for fans of urban fantasy or mystery, but I would recommend reading Blue Diablo (the first in the series) first.
What do You think about Hell Fire (2010)?
Creepy town and ghosts being heard through radios? Yep, instant 5 star.
