(Source: I own a copy of this book.)Even though I took a major break in the middle of this book, I enjoyed it a lot more than I did the first time I read it.I liked Mackenzie, even though she wasn’t the brightest at times. Why she thought she could find Amy’s killer when the multitude of people already investigating it couldn’t, I don’t know. She also made some really dodgy and dangerous decisions. The storyline in this was pretty good, although Mac was right when she said her life was turning into a CW show at the end of the book. I didn’t remember the little twists in this book, so it did surprise me at points, and I didn’t remember who the killer was at all!The romance did all go a bit wrong towards the end, and I was surprised at the way this book ended. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next book in the series.7 out of 10 Couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars. Really wanted to give it a three and a half. It was good enough to finish and I felt like I enjoyed it. But it's not quite good enough to spend $12 on the sequel. The book was ok. Could have done without yet again another love triangle and another heroine that all the boys fall in love with. The plot was interesting and kept a good pace. Definitely not original, but enjoyable all the same.
