The first half of this book almost made me put it down. The writing was pretty choppy, and EVERYONE in this book had major issues that were pretty far off the charts. I wish the author had toned down their issues a little to make it more realistic. This poor family had a hard go of it, and every mental issue seemed to be represented. I did like the second half of the book better, but it was still a pretty depressing read all around. I don't what it is about this writer ( I began to read her books because for some crazy reason I thought she was related to wally lamb)but I truly enjoy reading her books. In this book I laughed out loud at so many things. I loved henry. The grandmother was a character having alzhiemers and flying like an airplane all the time. I can always relate to something or someone in her books. I tell you, if an author can have me laugh and/or cry out loud, then they did to me what they were hoping for.
What do You think about Henry's Sisters (2009)?
Really good book about a mighty disfunctioanl family! I cried at the end.
