This is the second book that I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it. TT's sex scenes are awesome. They don't seem fake or like she's tryin to hard like soooo many others out there.:) Alexei is so fine; I love the way he loved Eva. All the jealousy, the revenge, and the games. All those years and they never stopped lovin each other. Are there men out there that can freak you like Alexei?(shivers) Her Russian Billionaire by Theodora Taylor is a perfect example of plot development at its best. The story starts out with a young couple enjoying college life until disaster strikes. The plot continues to wow me as I follow the strained reunion between Alex and Eva. Both are shocked to see the other, but Eva is even more terrified because she’s been harboring a secret. I like that Eva and Alex are very different but make a perfect match. Alex is almost stuffy yet falls for a woman that is anything but. She manages to balance out Alex’s personality. The story keeps building and developing and is far from predictable. Many surprises, such as finding out the real true reason for Eva leaving and the depth of Alex’s uncle’s manipulation, are quite shocking. A bit of humor also goes a long way in making this a well-rounded novel. Eva being kidnapped at the airport and given a makeover prior to meeting Alex is hilarious. Every story needs antagonists to make it interesting and there are plenty to go around. I enjoyed this story and thought the plot and characters were memorableEva St. James and Alexei Rustanov are college sweethearts determined to make their love work despite neither family wanting them together. Alex is shocked to come home to a note from Eva stating that she’s tired of slumming with him and is returning home. A bitter and heartbroken Alex vows to become successful and never allow another woman to hurt him. Eight years later Alex runs into Eva and is angered that as much as he wants to hate her, he can’t. They reconnect in a way that feels like they’d never been apart. However, Alex senses Eva is keeping something from him.~ Susan for AReCafe
