Everything happens within a matter of minutes or hours instead of days like I feel it should. Open the door to a sabertooth tiger shifter on your front porch? No worries! Give us 20 minutes and we're totally cool with it. Oh, we have to have sex with him and each other because we're all mates or he'll die? Half hour tops to freak out, then pass the lube.Also, for a pair of ex-marines Ty and Cord sure do cry a lot and flip out a lot. I'm not saying manly men don't cry. They do, and they should! They just don't freaking cry at the drop of a hat. Maybe they were discharged from the marines for having wicked mood swings? I dunno.I caught myself rolling my eyes a lot reading this book. And it's a shame, because the overall plot has tons of potential. But it feels like the author wrote the book outline, then went back and quickly fleshed it out with some dialog and a few adverbs and adjectives and published it.Meh.
