A wolf and a penguin. Bwahahaha! This was such a fun and entertaining read. Although the beginning of it was pretty serious and heartfelt. The author brought that together with her normal sense of humor to make for a good Midnight Matings story.Lys and Rip are completely hot. Rip is so clueless about relationships and feelings. He's a total guy. Lys is adorable as a penguin shifter and its great to see him get what he needs and deserves in the end. I rarely give out one star reviews and since I love the Midnight Matings series this story was an utter surprise in how bad it was. Rip, who seemed like a rapist frat boy had no redeeming qualities I could see. If he used the term "ghetto booty" one more time in reference to his mate's butt I was going to scream. I got why the character did it the first time but after that it was offensive. So many other things...just an overall bad read. Like I said it's a shame as I have liked Ms. Flynn's books before. This one just creeped me out.
