Good book...good, not great. I certainly felt for Marcy in her grief and guilt. I realize grief and guilt can make you do/believe/see crazy things but I felt it a bit far-fetched for her to feel like she'd seen her daughter alive and well in Ireland, when she hails from Canada. Then again, like I said...the desire to have your child back again can play tricks on your mind, so I get it. Entertaining, quick read with a few twists. There are writers, then there are story tellers. Joy Fielding is a story teller, in a Harlequin Romancey kind of way. Main character just unbelievable and behaves ridiculously against character. Typical, "Not Without My Daughter" Hallmark gag-me-with-a-spoon. Gee, can you tell I didn't like it? Nothing invested but time, but it was time I could have spent reading something actually GOOD; and that, in my dotage, I find myself resenting!
What do You think about Herzstoß: Roman (2011)?
Naja… ich habe mir ehrlich gesagt mehr erwartet. Von einem Krimi kann nicht die Rede sein..

I think I need to stop reading her books, I figure them out way to early.
