Well I pretty much read this in one sitting. I really enjoyed this book!! Dare I say it, I quite like Gav. Yes he's a murderer, but only people who arguably deserve it. Yes he's holding Kat hostage, but he didn't abuse her, not really.Thought the end was really good and the one thing I'm disappointed with is that book 2 is about someone else and not them, as I'd have liked to have continued their journey Okay, so here's the thing. I like the author and feel she writes well. But, that is the only reason I finished this book. For me, this was a Dexter meets Christian Grey storyline, which is different than anything else I have read. I give her that!I hated Gav. He was creepy and weird and just scary... and I know he was supposed to be. But, even after we saw a different side of him, I couldn't get those images out of my mind. Kat I liked. I thought she was a bit odd but I didn't dislike her... until she was so wishy-washy on her feelings. I don't care what you think you want, you don't witness what he did to another person and fall in love with them. That just isn't happening. I think the author has a lot of promise and i will certainly read another story from her. This was just not it for me and I sadly, wouldn't recommend it to others because of that.
What do You think about His (2000)?
I liked this story. It engage and held my interest. In a sucker for captive romance books!
