Hot Island Nights (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

Someone please point me in the direction of someone who writes marginally as good as SM. I'm seriously in danger of developing an unhealthy appetite for her books, it's practically an addiction, once I open the pages, I can't stop. WTH? I yawn all the time at work these days lol. Nate oh Nate, hunky as hell, the ultimate bad boy(ish) character. Every good girl(I think) relates with Elizabeth...an excerpt,' I want him, why can't I have him?', when will she ever be this free, this far removed from home? Oh yeah. I absolutely can relate with wanting to do something just for you. Wanting to be reckless just once. Damning the consequences. Elizabeth found out that her grandparents had lied to her about her birth father, with her Fiancé as their accomplice. She cut him loose and travelled to Australian to meet with her biological father. On that quest, she bumps into Nathan Jones whose suffering from PTSD brought on by a car accident which claimed the life of his little sister. He's a basket case, she's a prim and proper englishwoman with a touch of wildness in her. To the ordinary onlooker they are a mismatch, but she falls for him and helps him see light at the end of his dark and gloomy tunnel. I loved this storyline of wealthy aristocratic Englishwoman who finds out her father was someone else than who she had always been led to believe. She decides to break off with her stodgy fiance and go to Australia and find her real father. While there, she meets a handsome beach bum surfer type who she has a fling with. And it's quite a whirlwind fling! But, it turns out there's a lot more to him than she thought. He's dealing with the memory of his dead sister and there are many complications. She's also dealing with her father who's having nothing to do with her. So much passion and emotion in this book, it was great and a huge surprise! Well worth the read!4.5/5
