Joseph Lee's wife is murdered and he was assaulted. He is the prime suspect for the murder, but the police don't have any evidence to charge him. He eventually moves back into their home and becomes a hermit. Then he meets the new neighbors, one of whom is a dead ringer for his wife. This thriller was a slow starter. There's a lot of talking and very little action for the first part of the book. It will at first make you think that it will be about a wife cheating on her husband with the neighbor across the street. It was full of twists and turns and it kept me wondering where this story was heading. Having worked for a newspaper I am highly aware and more lenient than most people about typos. I have never read a book that didn't have them. You also have to keep in mind the nationality of the writer. What to an American is a typo might not be for a foreigner. However this is another book that took liberties with foul language. Foul language + long drawn out story = 3 stars. Well this book was not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a horror. The book was interesting, I hated Lee's character as he was such a pig. I New what the neighbours were up to from word go but didn't see the end coming. The book kept me reading so that's always good but it just lacked something I'm not sure what though.I suppose it's worth reading if you have nothing better to read.
I liked this one. Will try to review as soon as I can.
