How To Be Interesting: An Instruction Manual (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I started this book once I finished Austin Kleon's books. I had recently experienced some personal failure and on a day-off I decided to travel over to Barnes and noble to go book hunting in the "self motivation" section. I found a lot of good books but this one caught my eye because it was mostly diagrams. This was easily my favorite part about the book. Every page had these cool graphs or Venn diagrams and some of them were hilarious and ironic. I found myself taking pictures of some of the pages so that I can remind myself of some of these aspects on the "not-so-good" days. If everyone in the world read this book, not only would the world be more interesting, but the world would consist of people who are much more confident and much more just overall good humans. Halfway through the book I forced myself to find a connection to the page back to myself. It made the book even more interesting and entertaining because I'm sure that every single one of the pages was applicable to my life. This should be on your list of "must read before I die". Or even better, "must read before I decide to start living". Well that was corny as hell but maybe once you read the book you'll agree that's a great summarize statement. menurutku, ini tipe buku yang akan berulang kali aku baca. aku sedang jatuh cinta dengan tipe-tipe buku yang mengutamakan ilustrasi. semacam, buku yang menyenangkan untuk dibaca. walaupun di dalamnya penuh dengan diagram venn juga grafik-grafik hihi. butuh waktu juga aku untuk mencerna kalimat demi kalimat, apa ya maksud penulisnya. buku yang mengajak kita meninggalkan kehidupan yang membosankan. serta menjelaskan berbagai keuntungan menjadi pribadi yang menarik. menjadi pribadi yang bermanfaat bagi orang lain.
