How To Rock Braces And Glasses (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Soo romantic, and totally adorable. At the beginning she was in love with Quinn, then when she meets Zander she falls head over heels for him. It's so cute that he sees her for what she really is (braces & glasses) and likes her for being her. He and Paige help Kacey get back to the top of the social ladder and help her see the part of her that is cruel. I forgot to add Thanks to my big bro who got this book for me as a Christmas gift, because of my new braces and glasses that I've had for forever Imagine this: You own the school. You're popular, you're the star in the school play, and you've got the most fabulous closet. The only thing that isn't perfect? Your eyesight. Welcome to Kacey Simon's life. This book follows Kacey as she takes a major fall down the social pyramid. Will she fight her way back to the top? Or will she discover that being a nobody kind of... rocks?I'm sorry I had to rate this 2 stars. The writing is good, the characters are okay, the plot is decent, but the moral...I don't know what this book is trying to say. Is being popular good? Should everyone fight, lie, deceive, cheat, and hurt people just to get what they want?At first, I really liked this book. But as I read on, I realized what kind of person Kacey is. I know she's not a real person, but reading something like this doesn't make me a happy. How could someone be so shallow and cruel? How can someone purposely make others feel bad for their own good? What kind of person is Kacey?! She doesn't even change throughout the book! She just thinks that she could get away with everything and expect people to always forgive her. That's not the way things are.Maybe the author's intention was to make the reader infuriated. Mission accomplished...Mission accomplished
