How To Survive A Garden Gnome Attack: Defend Yourself When The Lawn Warriors Strike (And They Will) (2010) - Plot & Excerpts
There is not a lot here. The idea is cute and there are some good jokes, but for the most part, this book is a great idea for an essay. It doesn't really work as a full book. The end of the book is smart and I like it. The pictures are funny enough to elicite laughs. On the bright side, this is a short book. You can read it in an hour or less, so it is good for a time waster, but I can't recomend this unless you've already read The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster or if you are going to use it as a coffee table book. As anyone who has read many of my reviews knows, I like ridiculous, random books. This one is a little too much even for me, and this is coming from someone whose favorite shirt has a gnome and "Say hello to my little friend" on it. A lot of it is repetitive; I felt like I was ready the same joke over and over. On the other hand, it's a very quick read and there are a few funny parts, so I didn't feel like it was a complete waste of time.
