This graphic novel is a memoir by an American Jew who gets to visit Israel for free. According to something called 'Birthright' for being a jew. Sarah was determined to know more about the actual life in Israel for both Arabs and Israelite. Book details her experiences throughout the tour while she fears that she may be brainwashed during the tour to support Israel. I do not claim to be an expert on Israel situation as the book puts it. Hell I haven't been outside India till now so it was a nice read. This was a really great introduction to one person's experience in understanding the Israeli/Palestinian conflict -- I loved how she wasn't afraid to be honest in how frustrating she was as an individual and how frustrated she was as an individual, too. The internal and external conflicts were honest. A lot of the political and historical elements were beyond my own knowledge and understanding, but I'm glad I read the book for this precise reason.
sooo much information but i have a lot of new knowledge in my brain now!
