"you’ve hurt me and I’m finding it . . . a little difficult to move on from that.” “I’m trying to forgive you, but I’m only human, and the mistakes you made were enormous."Yay!!! Finally a wronged female that doesn't just collapse into grateful puddle when the wrong-doing guy comes back into her life! AND male lead who bares his soul. One that actually, truly apologizes rather the just expect the woman to take & forgive all his crappy actions without a 'sorry' ever leaving his lips. That alone is worth four stars. :-)There were some spots that made me not so happy, the h cried a lot, even she got sick of her crying. Plus she went weak a few times & slept with him but she eventually grow a back bone. The hero was a real jerk the first half but he did do a credible job of making it up. I liked this book better the second time. I think my primary problem with the book is how frustrating the first half is. The H treats the h really badly - and she gets very hurt by that, but she always seems to melt for him anyway. She seemed such a doormat to his a$$hole-ness that it drove me nuts. Finally she begins to stand up for herself and the ride gets better. I appreciate that she doesn't become a total pushover, and that he has to work for his redemption. Once we learn why he is the way he is, things become more understandable. Overall it's worth sloughing through the angsty first half to get to the more enjoyable parts.
What do You think about Husband's Regret, A (2000)?
The first part was all over the place, the second was better but a little bit boring sometime.
