I Can't Complain: (All Too) Personal Essays (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I've never heard of this author before, but now after this one book of personal essays, I am a huge fan! I was in the library last week browsing the "new nonfiction" section and just picked up this book to look at the cover. On a whim I checked it out and boy am I glad I did. These essays were delightful and, for the first time in a really long time, made me want to write again. She makes writing about life look so easy! I loved this little book and now I'm going to read anything else by her that I can get my hands on. It pays to write reviews right after one actually reads a book because I must admit I can't remember how much I liked this book. I liked it (3 stars), that I am sure of. I'm just not sure if I really liked it (4 stars). Because I did also read her fictional book The View From Penthouse B right after it and liked that, too, I am giving her the benefit of the doubt that I really liked this book. She is a humorous lady, that I am definite on. Worth a read.
What do You think about I Can't Complain: (All Too) Personal Essays (2013)?
My only complaint (ha!) was that every essay was too short.
