Everyone thought the state was liberal, but they had no idea about its dirty underbelly. This area was thick with evergreen trees, too hoarded by tree huggers to be cut down and too wild to tame. Ferns and bushes smothered the forest floor, which was the perfect place to hide a dead body. Even the wildlife seemed to be shocked into silence.
