Omg this book got me hooked from the first page !!!! I was looking for a contemporary fantasy and I sure found an amazing one ! I loved the writing style and the characters were extraordinary. I especially enjoyed how Jessamin stayed independent even after meeting Finn because that's what usually happens in contemporary novels one minute the lead girl is strong and independent but as soon as she meets a guy she becomes as if she can't live without him! ErghI WANT MORE OF THIS! A sequel perhaps? Rating: 2.5. I started this book fully expecting to love it as Laini Taylor, author of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, recommended it on her blog. I finished it a few moments ago and the only thought that comes to mind is "Eh." Not sad it's over. Not happy it's over. Kind of like a lame movie you watch when nothing else is on and you're desperate to be entertained... It kept my interest, but if something better had been on I'd have had no problem switching channels.
