In Other Words: The Other F-Word (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This is actually the 2nd book I read with a cougar as heroine. I don’t go with that genre. If others are particular with the heroine as Virgin, me, I always want the heroine to be younger than the hero. But I came to realized stepping out of you’re your comfort zone doesn’t hurt really. And I am really glad I did. I love M.K. Schiller writing style. She can make me laugh with the simple gesture/ conversation/ plot then she made me cry the next. I give this one 5 ‘F- word’ star! Fantastic, Fabulous, Fireworks, Fulfilling, Flirtatious kind of Star! :-). All the while I thought, good men are boring. Damien proves me wrong though. Its one thing I love this story, Damien kind of love for Emmy is something to be jealous of. I have a good laughed but when the conflicted presented, my heart aches too. ******I hope you'll read it too guys. The Other F-Word (In Other Words #2) by M K Schiller3 StarsBeginning where book one ends this story follows Emmie, Marley’s mum, and her journey back into the dating world now her girls have all grown and started lives of their own. The Other F-Word is book two in the ‘In Other Words’ Series and I have to say I didn’t enjoy this quite as much as book one. I wasn’t keen on the older woman/younger man scenario, it isn’t that I have anything against relationships with an age difference, they just aren’t something I like to read about. I didn’t like the on again off again issues they had and the reasons for their ‘discontent’ were a little ‘WTF’ considering Emmie’s age, the fact she has grown up children and also a grandchild. I mean, come on, shouldn’t Damian have realised from the off that there could be a problem here? If a family is what he wanted why go for an older woman? It just didn’t make sense to me.M K Schiller is a great writer and has created some interesting and fun characters. The interactions between most are natural, though the dynamics between Emmie and Damian didn’t always flow so well and didn’t work for me.Copy supplied for review as part of the tour
