I received this book through Good Reads First Reads program. This being the second in the series, I had to run out and buy the first. I read the first book (In the Band) and thought it was ok. It was a quick read and the story was fun. I began the first page of Ink My Heart and instantly fell in love with this book. Justin and Alli are amazing and the writing is well done. I really enjoyed getting into the music and seeing the band from justins point of view. I devoured this book within a few hours and have added the next one to my to read shelf. Everyone should grab this series for something fun and sexy..... I did say sexy right???? Get your hands on these books!!! I purchased this story on my kindel as well as in audible format and so far, have only listened to the audible format. Both narrators, Nick Podehl and Amy McFadden did a good job and added to the enjoyment of the story. This is the second story in the series and covers the lead singer, Justin, falling in love with a tattoo artist. I was surprised I liked this story as much as I did since Justin was so shallow in the first book. He was a womanizer that slept with anything that moved, and was always antagonizing his roommate and lead guitarist, Romeo. However, in his story, we get to understand why he is this way. He has shut down all emotion and put a wall around his heart due to the lack of attention and love from his rich parents who never had time for him his whole life. He was raised pretty much by a nanny. It was enjoyable to see the change in him once love strikes. It is gradual and surprises even him. There is a lot of meat to the story that adds to the enjoyment. If you like rock romances, then I highly recommend not missing this series. I can’t wait for the next 2 books.

DNF. I'm not a fan of immature leading males.
