One of my favorite series of all time! Though translated from German, if I hadn't known I wouldn't have guessed; it's beautifully written and brilliantly detailed. I adore all three of the books, but I prefer the second and third, which take place in the 'Inkworld'- a fantastical place full of blue fairies, stunning performers, malicious villains, and telltale castles. My favorite thing about the series is no doubt the Inkworld and the magical creatures in it. There is no wrong thing I can say about the series, and I love the characters! I only hope that instead of reading more reviews, you'll go enjoy the series as much as I did;) These books have a true old style, fairytale like feel to them, which i think is missing in heaps of books today. Cornelia Funke has a gift for writing in this style. I read Inkheart and Inkspell first then i had to wait for Inkdeath. I loved the first two books and i was so excited for the third. The cover of Inkdeath looked gorgeous but by the time i was a third of the way through the book i was just skimming. There was to many filler words and everything was kind of lost on me. This is a bit of a shame because it really is a magical series.
What do You think about Inkheart Trilogy Boxset (2010)?
I read the German books: Tintenherz, Tintenblut, Tintentod.
