Inte Vem Som Helst (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I really like the writing style and voice of Nina LaCour. Definitely plan to read whatever she writes because they're all enjoyable if only from that perspective. This one is kind of fun, especially being that I've lived that dream of wanting to be in a band that goes on tour. Plus, she may be coolest hipster writer out there right now with a lot of cultural references that really hit home.Of course, I'm kind of against any book that is mostly some boy whining about how the girl he loves doesn't love him back, which this book does have, but it doesn't seem too overbearing and is handled pretty well throughout.I really liked the end, because it's not as simple as many books are when it comes to difficult love. It doesn't require the characters to give up something of themselves for the relationship. They are individuals who stand firm in what is best for each of them, and I wish there was more of that going on in YA writing. Overall, pretty good, very quick, but not the best thing I've ever read. I really like the writing style and voice of Nina LaCour. What do You think about Inte Vem Som Helst (2014)?

As recommended by a friend, this is the perfect road trip book. The characters jump off the page right away and while it did take me a few chapters to get invested, it had me hooked from that moment on. I closed the book with such a sense of hopefulness and excitement about the future but the #1 thing I took away from it was this: if you want to change your life, just do it!! Go on an adventure, be spontaneous, collect experiences. Yeah, you'll make some mistakes, but you'll have memories and stories to last a lifetime.

I really loved this book. It's all about just growing up and figuring out who you are and where you want to go. I loved the characters they were all so real. It's about these teenagers in a band and after the graduate high school they go on a little tour for a week. I liked the things all the characters went through and all the people they met. The book gave me a lot of emotions. It made me angry and scared and in the end it made me feel.
