I started this book laughing out loud at Mindy's childhood memories and especially when she self deprecatingly commented on her dieting battles. And I ended laughing a bit too when she plans reveals her fears/concerns/demands about sex and men and even her funeral. But the middle was really sluggish and I felt like it took me a long time to finish. Because it made me laugh early on I give it 3 stars --- plus I think I would really like hanging out with Mindy Kaling Mindy Kaling is a hilarious goddess in a sea of mild-humored humans. Everything from her Twitter to her TV show, is pure gold-- most of all, this book. "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" is written so that when you read it, you hear Mindy's voice in your ear, telling you these stories and probably talking with her hands.
