I discovered this book one day on Amazon just after it had released and I quickly grabbed a copy! I couldn't wait to read it! I read it for the first time at the end of April when I was recovering from an operation, and then I recently re-read it after I discovered that a second book had just released! This book was even better the second time around lol! I loved it even more and it just blew me away! The plot was amazing and so different to the kind of books I normally read! It dealt with a motorbike gang and a religious cult, which I've never really read any books about before, so it was interesting! I thought that the religious cult idea was a good spin on the plot and it was a unique one! This book also had me hooked! I couldn't put it down once I started reading it and I read it even faster the second time around lol! Overall, I loved the plot and I loved the action, romance and suspense in it! The characters were just as amazing as the plot! Salome 'Mae' was the main female character, and she had been sort of brainwashed her whole life to believe that the situation she was in was normal and that the outside world was tainted and full of sin! I felt so sorry for her because she had been through so much and she just wanted to be happy and free! Mae came a long way in this book though, and I loved her changes! She became more confident, grew a lot as a character, and became a part of her love interest's motorbike gang! I was so happy that she was able to see that she wasn't tainted and that she found love! It was what she wanted! Styx was the main male character and he was seriously hot! He was seriously fierce too, and he was a guy you didn't mess with! I also loved that Styx had a stutter, because you expect his character to be big and brooding, which he was, but his stutter was a reminder that everyone has a weakness, and Styx's stutter was his! I loved Styx! He may have had a rough exterior, but underneath he was gentle and he had some major love for Mae! He was also fiercely protective of Mae and I could see that he would do anything to protect her from the life she grew up in! He was an amazing guy! There was also a love triangle in this book! It added a lot to the plot and I really enjoyed it! I liked that Mae didn't play the two guys off against each other and I'm deliriously happy with who she picked! I loved that this book was written from both Mae and Styx's point of views! It definitely made this book even better and I loved getting to experience the story through both characters eyes! I can't wait to read the next book in this series! This book was a standalone when I first read it, so I was really excited when I discovered that it's now a series and that the second book has recently released! I'm so excited about whose book it is, so I'm definitely going to be making it my next read! The cover for this book is perfect for it! It's what drew me to the book as I wanted to read the story behind it! I freaking love it! I've NEVER read a more fast paced, action packed, emotionally charged book EVER. It flowed perfectly! This is the first book of Tillie Cole's I've read and will put her in my top 5 authors and this may even knock off my favorite Black Box, by Cassia Leo, for my #1 favorite book ever. It's just that darn fantastic. Be sure to read the author's notes at the beginning of the book, because her research included talks with actual female cult survivors. The reality of that, plus the love story between a Cursed Snow White of a beauty and a mute MC prez in this book makes it sad, yet totally kick ass. You'll get a totally satisfying HEA with somewhat of a cliffhanger. I am anxious to read the 2nd in the series.
