WOW! Jennifer Bernard had me hook, line, and sinker on this one! This is definately 5 stars! What fireman isn't sexy as it is? However this fireman does not have a hero complex. He does however have a very hard time telling Lizzie that he loves her and that he does not want her to move to Vancouver British Columbia. Mulligan also hates Christmas with a passion and always volunteers to work during the holidays so that those with families can spend it with theirs. That is until there is a fire and while he gets his team safely off of the room he falls thru. News gets to Lizzie, as well as other firefighters who were not on shift or had moved away and were in town visiting. When Lizzie shows up on scene, everyone tries to reassure her that Mulligan is alive. She hears stories about antics he has done and understands when everyone says, "It's Mulligan!" She knows they say it because he will pull through. Mulligan is not so sure that they are looking for him, he is severely injured and is hallucinating but he is seeing HIS Lizzie in his hallucination telling him to fight and not give up....... it also changes his look on Christmas.......What made him change that? You will have to read this to find out!! I have so loved each story in the Bachelor Fireman series. This one takes us on a journey that will have your heart racing, your eyes tearing up, and the occasional chuckle escaping your lips. We get to revisit Lizzie, Fred's sister, and learn about her relationship with Dean Mulligan. He has been pushing her away because he thinks he is too damaged to be good enough for her. However, when he falls in a burning building on Christmas Eve Eve, he realizes, in It's a Wonderful Life style flashbacks, that his life has had more purpose than he realized. In his flashbacks, we get to see some heart-wrenching moments from his childhood in foster care. We get a few very steamy scenes with Lizzie that will have you falling in love. And we get a few memories and hallucinations that will have you in tears, praying for his rescue. The story sucks you in and doesn't let go. I absolutely loved the story. Even though it's a novella, you get a complete story that takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I'm quite sad that the series is ending, but this was a perfect ending. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a delightful holiday story. This is a story I would happily revisit every Christmas.
What do You think about It's A Wonderful Fireman (2014)?
Doesn't get any better than a Sexy fireman who tries to resist a woman and Christmas! Great story!
