One day in the life of Duffy the dog. Great for teaching preschoolers the time of day. Things happen in a sequence: mid-morning, late morning, early afternoon, etc. Also good for routines; Duffy does the same thing at the same time everyday. The author has definitely nailed the lazy dog's life of napping and eating. But I had a few issues with why he had to wear his pirate costume to the bank. Why is he wearing clothes at all? The rest of the book is realistic; there's no need to throw that craziness in there. Such a cute story! Told from the perspective of Duffy the pug and family pet, you get to see his daily routines, from eating (a lot!), thinking about eating (even more!), sleeping (to rival his thinking about eating), playing with his young owner and mysteriously not being tired at the end of a nap-filled day, when his human companions are gearing down for the evening.Funny, adorable, true to what I know of dog behavior, I would definitely recommend this to dog lovers, young or old.
What do You think about It's Duffy Time! (2012)?
A cute story and wonderful illustrations. We expected nothing less from Audrey and Don Wood though.

I loved the pictures! And the book really made it clear what life is like as a dog!

I liked looking for the clocks to see when each nap took place.
