Incredible. Its hard to believe this isn't an established author. One with many novels under her belt, not just the 2 this book is the 2nd of. Unbelievably great writing. The characters are stronger, as is the world and continuing story line. Love where these 2 first books have gone and eagerly waiting to start the third. Tomorrow though as I started and finished this in less than 8 hours. Need to process. Highly recommend this series to anyone who likes the mean, non glittery vamps hahaha. In the last book, Cyn had finished the job she was paid for and had unceremoniously broken up with Raphael. Although she tried her best to forget him and find other jobs to do, it became impossible not to seek his help again. She took a job from the Arab type vampire lord called Jabril. It pretty much speaks for itself when you think old world Arab with vampire powers. Total nutso. Anyway, she smuggles out these two girls (Mirabelle and the other chick) from Jabril's territory and brings them to Raphael's territory. There a lot of craziness and fighting and vampire stuff happens. Raphael confesses to her that he's sorry for leaving her hanging and that he actually loves her. They get back together, she gets kidnapped by Jabril's people, she gets away, kills everyone, and happy ending.I liked it.
