Jaguar Fever is the second book in Terry Spear’s jaguar series. If you’ve read anything of Spear’s in the past you won’t be disappointed. Always the expert at penning true to form animal shifter stories, be it her wolves or now jaguars, she takes the reader into the mind of both the animal and human making sure that the animal’s true nature shines above all else. The characters in Mia and Wade, both of whom we met previously in Savage Hunger, are a perfect blend of sexy, sweet, funny, and wild. There are plenty of other characters in the story and we even get to spend some time with Kat and Connor. Wade’s brother along with Connor and Maya’s cousins are a fantastic addition to the series and really opened a lot of opportunities for future books.I have reviewed so many Terry Spear books over the years, but I never tired of her style of writing and never feel as if she’s retelling the same story with different characters. Jaguar Fever is filled with just the right amount of heat to balance out the action and blends in humorous character interactions to give the reader a perfectly well rounded read. If you’re a big cat lover this is a must read as you will easily feel the passion that Terry has for the animals spill over into her story. You won’t find any half-man/half-jaguar creatures in this story so if you’re looking for that, don’t bother. If you want a true shifter experience then you’ve chosen the right author because no one does jaguars (and wolves) like Terry does!5 Stars! I absolutely love Terry Spear. She is one of my very favorite authors and her books always have great characters and exciting stories. What I love most about Terry Spear books is that you don’t have to read her series books in order to understand what’s going. They work as standalones as well as in series reading order. While I love Terry’s wolves, I was worried if I’d like her cats just as much. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the whole book. I loved the excitement, the many chases and hunts, the interaction between siblings, the feral, almost animalistic sex scenes, and an appearance by a previous character from the Heart of the Wolf series! I was so happy to read about this person again! I loved the end of the book where we were introduced to new characters that I am very much looking forward to reading as the series continues! There wasn’t anything I didn’t love about this book. Terry Spear is an excellent story teller who captivates with excitement, danger, humor, and love. I do have a confession to make. Although I love her jaguars, I love her wolves more! Great book!Reviewed by Elizabeth for Cocktails and Books
