Chance and Blaize bent over her. Chance shook her very gently, whispering, "Jaide. Jaide, wake up." She opened her eyes slowly, narrow slits. "How do you feel?" She shook her head, wrapped her arms around her stomach and curled onto her side in a ball, closing her eyes. Blaize stroked her back, hoping to comfort her. Chance shook his head.
