They spend hours every day in the gym and on the shooting range in training and are capable of killing without remorse. The way I was trained to be too. They also learned to follow orders without question, and I realize Drake sent them for a good reason after all, because these guys won’t stop hunting Jax, Jared, and Courtney until they’re dead. I say, “Jax will probably leave town later today to get back to Brunswick. That’s where Courtney and Jared are. I think we should make our way south to get them all there.” Sean shakes his head. “We get Jax here. He’s alone, and that makes it easier.” Since I never knew this town was full of werebear, Sean doesn’t either. I decide not to mention it, because Jax knows he’s in danger and won’t put himself in a vulnerable position. Perhaps trying to kill Jax here is the best option for actually keeping him alive. I say, “Of course. Sorry, I wasn’t thinking.”
