Recommended for anyone interested in reading the Mahabharata which is one of the greatest Indian epics. Nice graphics and interesting trivia makes it even more engaging. I honestly felt it was a pretty unbiased version compared to the ones that ISKON sells. However, I am still not pretty sure about the authenticity of all the facts and incidents which has always been debatable. I know people who just say that not all facts are true in the real Mahabharata. If you are fine to take that with a grain of salt, go ahead and read this one. Nicely presented and well written that could get a new reader hooked on. Each of us know Mahabharata. Mostly through the Television. I got to know about his through one of Quora answers. This book is an easy read. Author tries to tell different versions of Mahabharata heard or known in different parts of India. This book can be picked by anyone, not necessarily an Indian who already knows most of the epic. It is very easy to understand and follow. By the end of this book many of my questions got answered - questions of a logical thinker who's question was 'Is Mahabharata an epic or a history?'
Well researched and nuanced. A total treat to read.
