Josh was a fantastic romantic story involving a good ol' romantic, gentlemen of a cowboy! The story had light suspense and mystery which was good. However, it was the family values of 3 generations living together with all their love and hard work that really impressed me. Thank you R.C. Ryan for a fantastic story!! My ONLY disappointment to the book was that I was hoping the father, Cole, and their housekeeper, Phoebe, would end up together. Maybe in the future??? Thank you Goodreads for the free book. I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads in exchange for a review.I believe I might have found a new favorite Western/Romance writer! R.C. Ryan's tale was witty, exciting, heart-warming, dangerous, and sexy! I fell in love with rancher/rescuer hero Josh Conway. His character as a capable rancher and a smart fearless mountain rescuer was very appealing. His family was very lovable and I quickly was smitten by all the wonderful family scenes featured. Female love interest, photographer Sierra, I had a little more trouble warming to mostly because I spent half the novel wondering if she was just a little too good to be true. Nope she was really that good, which is why Josh and his family were so interested in her. The romance between Sierra and Josh started and halted several times mostly because his loving family would get in the way which made those scenes comical and realistic. But once they acted on their attraction the scenes were both steamy and romantic. The only complaint that I had was the the bad guy, Sierra's stalker, Sebastian wasn't featured more. His anger and conceit I thought were fascinating aspects that while mentioned, weren't really delved into until later. Which for me, didn't make him such of a evil threat until later. However overall the novel was very fun to read and I will definitely be reading all about brothers Quinn and Jake in their books. I recommend this wonderful western romance story!
