I like the interaction between the characters in the story. However the back said that Riley's past would come to get her and it took a lot longer than I thought it should. It could be a bit more peppered into the story. It all comes to a head and is over very quickly. Afterwards it seems like there are several places the author could have ended the story but she doesn't until that one "mystery" that is in all three books is solved. I'm not the biggest fan of cowboy stories, so I wasn't quite sure how I'd like this book. It turned out the be a good contemporary romance which was a nice break from all the PNR and UF I've been reading lately. Although if I had realized the hero's name was Zane, I probably would have saved this book until January for one of my challenges. What I liked:* The family had a special bond and even though this is the third in a series, I wasn't lost. Riley's daughter, Summer, was extremely cute throughout the story.* The setting. The description of the ranch and the special painting place sounded lovely.* The food - I want their cook!!!What I didn't like:* Both Riley and Zane were too good to be true. Riley is a great single mom, a talented artist and amazing with numbers. Zane is super good-looking, amazing with horses and amazingly patient.* The bad guys were just a bit too obvious.** I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads
