I did like that it was a quick read. Sometimes I just want something that I can get lost in quickly that won't take me several sittings to read. This delivered. The story was definitely far-fetched. I could see something like this happening in the way distant future. But when I pick up a book, I'm not looking for logical. I want something that I can get lost in and let my imagination run wild. And this book did just that for me. Short story - 60 pagesOkay story. A lot of women have died and the laws have changed that women have lost their rights and are forced to marry more than one man. Cate's been claimed by Jude and his brothers and she tries to escape. Well she falls like a stack of cards. Why'd she fight it if she's going to give in so quick. Maybe it's because the book is a short story but even the sex scenes didn't grab me. In fact, one in particular had me cringing thinking of a douche, which is so not sexy. I bought the other books in the series. Hopefully this series gets better.
