Julia's House For Lost Creatures (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
If you have young kids who need to grasp the concept of doing their chores, this is the book for them. Our little heroine invites a group of creatures into her large house. All is swell and fun...until they start making a big mess. Solution? Create a chore chart. Sounds boring, I know - but the creatures are crazy looking and oh-so-cute that kids will enjoy the pictures. The story is subtle, so I think a kid might be tricked into doing chores just because this book makes it look so much fun. Or - I might be putting more power into a book than it deserves. Either way, it's an adorable book. Love the illustrations.--Victoria If you have young kids who need to grasp the concept of doing their chores, this is the book for them.
