Getting ready for Halloween, children might be afraid of some things that happen that particular night, but this book lets them know it is ok and what to do...just say Boo! Not everything you see or hear has to scare you, but you can make a game out of it. It also teaches children to say thank you when they go trick or treating.I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest opinion. This is absolutely adorable! I just regret that I didn't discover it in my pile before Halloween, but at three years old my daughter is right at the stage where she sees things and asks lots of questions weeks later so instead of celebrating Halloween as a day, it's turned more like weeks of Halloween. LOL This is a great read aloud and very family oriented and I love that. Great for classes, libraries or just home. I'm sure we'll read it year round but it is a fabulous fall and Halloween read as the characters learn about trick or treating and how to respond when you're a little scared with things you see and to again and again Just Say Boo! The illustrations are fabulous, friendly and cute. I'll have to look for more books in the future from both the author and illustrator. *Thanks to HarperCollins for providing a copy for review.*
