King Of Swords (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

Yes it is a bit violent. Most action thrillers are. I view action thrillers like going to a Saturday matinee movie of old. I couldn't wait till the end to see how it played out but then I was disappointed that it was over. To me that was the sign of a good movie...or a good book. Not very artsy....which I love in movies but hate in books. This was my first Russell Blake book. Will definitely read more. Rally enjoyed this book, great plot, well written for the most part. there are a number of flashback, and transitions aren't exactly smooth, and there seem to be a lot of them. They do serve a purpose, and they do provide some insight tothe appropriate parts of the story, generally, but the were a couple short ones that referenced the past Interior Ministers that could have been done jsut as easily or in a cleaner fashion with the main character providing a better narrative to his buddy in real time than cutting away to a whole flashback.I will be reading more of these books, i am liking the plots, and the author, generally speaking. Other than the seeming multitude of flashbacks, this was an excellent story.
